Across all areas, we’ve enhanced customers’ ability to automate process workflows between trading partners, such as automatically triggering workflows when a shipment gets rerouted, monitoring exception handling thresholds including monitoring frequency of exceptions, and automatically triggering alerts when timelines or milestones aren’t being met.

In addition to announcing the latest release of the VIN solution, we’re also rolling out two new modules powered by our VIN solution.

Our new C02 tracking module brings complete transparency with regard to CO2 impact on product level, making it easier to monitor, report, as well as adjust operations to meet CO2 tracking related requirements.

Because every multimodal transaction is captured in the VIN solution, customers can automatically track and verify C02 data alongside their shipment, cost and other information, creating a robust picture of carbon impact based on data captured. Because the VIN solution is underneath, the data is captured, structured and ready for analytics and other tools to be layered on top – no additional IT work required.

By gaining this level of transparency, organizations can reduce unnecessary emissions at the source. With visibility into empty or partially filled shipments in either direction, logistics trading partners can optimize loads, eliminate empty containers or vessel space, and plan more efficient routes. This not only cuts waste and cost but directly lowers C02 output by ensuring every mile traveled is as productive as possible.

Our new sales order management module utilizes the sales order ID as the single source of truth between partners and systems for triggering downstream work orders to logistics trading partners, keeping these partners aligned in real-time, and ensuring every step meets customer SLAs.

The secure data exchange powered by the VIN solution foundation provides a shared, trusted record for collaboration, without custom integrations or manual work. It prevents duplications and confusion about which version of an order is correct. It also creates a data foundation for reliable analytics and future automation.

Finally, we’ve made some further enhancements to our driver delivery app, which leverages the VIN solution underneath. The app makes it easier for logistics trading partners to receive route and reroute information in real-time, and easier for OEM shippers to create shipments, define routes and communicate with drivers. All in a trusted, secure environment with permissioned access and granular level user-access controls, without additional IT effort.
